Why today though Important is not as important as tomorrow

The 4th of July, is the day for commemorating the adoption of the Declaration of Independence on July 4, 1776, declaring independence of Uncle Sam from the Kingdom of Great Britain. The day the greatest nation of all time, charged with the responsibility of preserving freedom, democracy, spreading McDonalds, the free market and Chuck Norris was born. The day when mankind realised that there was hope for a better future, the day when we all can look back and say that this is my dream, that this is your dream and that this is the American Dream.

Sometime after the Cacophony, when the celebration of American dominance, arrogance and the beacon of hope, faith and democracy is completed arrives the dawn of a new era. The rise of a day which truly needs to be remembered far more than today, the rise of the 5th of July (+100 points if you appreciate the nuance pun of today as today and as 4th of July).

Because to quote from my good friend Wikipedia,
“PhilosophiƦ Naturalis Principia Mathematica, Latin for "Mathematical Principles of Natural Philosophy", often called the Principia ("Principles"), a work in three books by Sir Isaac Newton, was first published on the 5 July 1687. The Principia states Newton's laws of motion, forming the foundation of classical mechanics, also Newton's law of universal gravitation, and a derivation of Kepler's laws of planetary motion (which Kepler first obtained empirically). The Principia is "justly regarded as one of the most important works in the history of science".”
That tomorrow was the day when the BBC aired its first television bulletin. The BBC television channel which was to inspire a generation of freedom lovers, journalists, Tahrir square protestors and despots who wanted to claim fame the easy way by appearing on a show called Hard Talk.(+500 again if you recognised that figure of speech).
Tomorrow would also be the day when that great American Champion, Arthur Ashe becomes the first black man to win the Wimbledon singles title.

So today when the clock strikes at midnight I want you to take a moment. I want you to remember that tomorrow will not just be another day but it should be remembered as a watershed moment in history. It was tomorrow that Newton published the document which was to define physics for generations to come. That from the mundane publication of science to the sublime, tomorrow was also the day that the great Zayed Khan (Star of such epic movies like Shaadi No 1, Rocky, Shabd, Fight Club- Members Only) was born, though some chose to credit is as the date of birth of another ordinary actor called Nasseeruddin Shah. That tomorrow the bikini was displayed in all its glory sometime in the 1950’s, and that above all else in a quiet suburb of Mumbai at the stroke of the midnight hour when the world slept yours truly awoke to Life and Freedom! So happy 5th of July everyone, Godspeed and God (Marx, everything else natural, supernatural) bless you all.

+1000 if you recognise the sheer clever use of words in the title which might have prompted you to think that this was a piece of profound philosophical excellence.Oh and +5000 if you call and wish me tommorow!
