X-MEN ORIGINS: WOLVERINE

Bad Ass! That is what Hugh Jackman used to describe Wolverine. This movie just falls short of that. A great bollywoodishtyle story of a man seeking redemption for the wars he has fought and just wanting to find peace within. I kind of think Amitabh wouldn't be too bad as wolverine, I mean think about it! Back to the movie, it has good action sequences and a just about OK story line. What keeps you engaged though is only Hugh Jackman's portrayal of Wolverine. He has done a great job in all the previous movies and continues to do so. The action sequences are how ever on expected lines. The one character whom I would have liked to see more off would have been Ryan Reynold's ( a neat little cameo but you wonder why he doesn't have more of a role). The whole deception in love and the loss of Logan's memory is a bit off a sham if you have read the comic strips or watched the animation series. You love the one liners though and especially the dialogues between Logan and his brother (Sabertooth????) which are almost followed by a great fight sequence. Will-I-am makes is debut (decent)as a mutant who can teleport and of course you have Gambit (a very small appearance). You also get to see the glimpse of Prof.Xavier but the end though is a bit of a dampner.

I think the reason why you feel a bit disappointed after you leave the theatre is because you were expecting a bit more. A bit more of the ass kicking action, a bit more punch in the story and a bit more of Wolverine.
